How I work and photograph

I'm a huge fan of the outdoors and having moved to Vancouver I feel like this is the perfect place to be. I started photography some 20 years ago, when I was 16, and never stopped since.

Photographing weddings and adventure elopements in Vancouver, Squamish and across BC is something like my dream job come true, as I get to know people, document their love for each other in the most beautiful way, and even get to do this in one of the most wonderful places on earth. 

I accept only a few weddings and elopements each year, which means the couples I work with get my full attention. From the first email through the final gallery delivery you have my full support to plan the perfect day for you.

What I care about isn't exact hours of coverage or a checklist of poses. What matters most to me is what I think matters most to you — to have a wonderful, enjoyable day that you will always remember and my goal is to create the timeless images that you always want to come back to remember it by. 

I want your photos to feel like your day — not a performance of it. That means I direct couples through action, fun little games and activities so there won't be these awkward stiff moments where you try to force a smile that does not feel natural. Through this approach you will quickly relax in front of the camera, even if you have never really been in a professional photo shoot before. I have seen couples relax and naturally pose like pros 30 minutes into our shoot although they have never been professionally photographed before.

Besides photographing weddings I am also a wildlife and nature photographer, videographer and naturalist with a whale watching company. I love nature, animals, and the outdoors and so naturally I started out photographing wildlife and landscapes. I spend a lot of time out there and I know many great places in the area, feel free to ask me about suggestions for engagements or elopements.
